The investigation examined police conduct while assisting with an eviction, during which a woman resisted and officers used force to remove her from the property. On Jan. 7, 2026, the CEO of the Police Review Commission directed ASIRT to investigate the matter as a Level 2 incident under the Police Act.

Calgary Police Service – June 8, 2018 | Report

ASIRT examined the circumstances surrounding the arrest of a man who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The man fled from police and was injured while officers took him into custody.

ASIRT is part of the Police Review Commission, an independent civilian-led agency. ASIRT investigates potential criminal offences involving police across Alberta, including cases where the actions of a police officer may have resulted in serious injury or death.
