Alberta will have a strong presence at this year’s CERAWeek conference, one of the world’s most important energy conferences, from March 23 to 27. International decision makers, industry leaders, technology innovators and government officials from around the world will gather to explore themes of energy, technology and geopolitics.
“Global demand for secure energy is surging, and Alberta is delivering it. Alberta produces responsible, ethical energy and has the capacity to do more. The province is doubling oil production and expanding access to tidewater to get more Canadian energy to market.”
“Alberta has the energy reserves the world needs and sets the standard for responsible production and innovation. During CERAWeek, we will focus on strengthening relationships with industry and international markets to support long-term global energy security.”
Premier Danielle Smith and Minister Brian Jean will meet with government officials and business leaders from around the world to promote Alberta’s responsible energy sector and the role the province can play in a secure energy future. They will reassert Alberta’s place as a leader in North American energy security and advocate for greater market access, while growing international relationships. Both Premier Smith and Minister Jean will also participate in roundtable discussions and high-profile speaking events during the conference.
Trip expenses for Premier Danielle Smith and Minister Brian Jean will be posted on the travel and expense disclosure page.
