“On World Mental Health Day, we stand with those facing mental health challenges and highlight the importance of mental well-being for all. No one should feel alone in their journey and support is available.

“Mental health impacts every one of us – our families, friends and communities. Yet too often, those living with mental health challenges face barriers to care, discrimination or silence.

“The Alberta Recovery Model is built on the fact that recovery and wellness are possible, and our government is committed to providing Albertans with comprehensive services, including prevention, intervention and treatment.

“We are making targeted investments to strengthen mental health services across Alberta, with a strong focus on supporting youth. This includes funding organizations like CASA Mental Health, expanding school-based initiatives such as the Integrated School Support Program and continuing our partnership with Kids Help Phone. We’re also enhancing youth mental health hubs, improving access to specialized care for eating disorders and making counselling more affordable and accessible for Albertans of all ages.

“If you need support, reach out. By calling 211 Alberta, you can connect with local programs in your community. With the right care and support, mental health and wellness is possible.”
