Housing linked with supports is an integral part of the overall response to homelessness. Through the Affordable Housing Partnership Program, Alberta’s government has invested $1.2 million in bilateral funding that is helping families who are experiencing or who are at risk of homelessness access permanent supportive housing. This funding was cost-matched by the federal government under the National Housing Strategy bilateral agreement.

HUB 29 opened in fall 2023 and provides seven two-bedroom and 17 three-bedroom units with a minimum of 20 per cent being wheelchair accessible. The facility also includes a community hub space, preschool, daycare, and a community café and kitchen.
