On Sept. 25, 2018, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, ASIRT was directed to investigate a Calgary Police Service officer-involved shooting. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.

On Dec. 29, 2019, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, ASIRT was directed to investigate an RCMP officer-involved shooting causing death near Hardisty. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.

On June 23, 2020, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, ASIRT was directed to investigate an Edmonton Police Service in-custody death. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.

On Sept. 27, 2020, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, ASIRT was directed to investigate an injury sustained by an individual during an interaction with Calgary Police Service officers. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.
