On June 19, 2019, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team was directed to investigate a use of force that occurred the previous day and involved officers from the Edmonton International Airport detachment of the RCMP. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.

On March 16, 2020, pursuant to Sec. 46.1 of the Police Act, ASIRT was directed to investigate a death that occurred in the Edmonton Police Service detainee management unit. ASIRT’s investigation is now complete.
