At 8:26 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. The severe thunderstorm is located near Ardley and is moving to the east at 20 km/h.

Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Action to take:

• Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches

• If you hear roaring wind, see a funnel cloud, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately
