At 8:10 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. The severe thunderstorm is located near Haynes and is moving to the east at 25 km/h.

Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Area: Lacombe Co. near Clive Alix and Mirror

Action to take:

• Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches
• If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail
• If you hear roaring wind, see a funnel cloud, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately
