Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The City of Beaumont has updated a water supply alert.

Heavy rainfall continues to push the City's wastewater system to capacity, with localized flooding and backups being reported. If the wastewater system continues to operate over-capacity, flooding and sewer backups will continue to increase.

Area: This alert only applies within the City of Beaumont boundaries.

Affected areas (2):

• Beaumont
• Leduc County

Action to take:

• All residents must immediately cease all non-essential water use
• Refrain from using laundry machines and dishwashers, keep showers short and avoid flushing toilets unless necessary
