Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The City of Beaumont has issued a water supply alert.

Heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours has pushed the City's wastewater system to capacity, with localized flooding and backups being reported. If the wastewater system continues to operate over-capacity, flooding and sewer backups will continue to increase.

Area: This alert is in effect for the entire City of Beaumont.

Affected areas (2):

• Beaumont
• Leduc County

Action to take:

• All residents must immediately cease all non-essential water use
• Refrain from showering, flushing toilets, using laundry machines and dishwashers
