Description: Tornado warning in effect

At 9:29 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Wednesday, Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for South Central Alberta. Extra care and attention should be exercised in and around the following localities: Wolf Lake, Cynthia and Brazeau Dam. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

Area: Yellowhead Co. near Minnow and Wolf Lakes and Elk River

Affected areas (2):

• Yellowhead County
• Brazeau County

Action to take:

• Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches
