Description: Saddle Hills County has cancelled the wildfire alert, for the communities along the BC border.

Wildfires GWF-035 & GWF-038 have slowed their movement to the west and are no longer pose a serious threat to the communities west of the fires. burning southwest of White Mountain area have exceeded 5,000 hectares in total size. Both fires are out of control, and now spreading towards the BC border.

Affected areas (2):

• Saddle Hills County
• Grande Prairie County No. 1

Action to take:

• Residents in Gundy, residents in the Baytree area south of Hwy 49, and Saddle Oak Estates are no longer under an evacuation alert.
