Description: Saddle Hills County has issued a wildfire alert, for the area between White Mountain and the BC border, including Baytree residents south of Hwy 49 and Gundy.

The wildfires burning southwest of White Mountain area have exceeded 5,000 hectares in total size. Both fires are out of control, and now spreading towards the BC border.

Affected areas (2):

• Saddle Hills County
• Grande Prairie County No. 1

Action to take:

• If you are in the affected area, prepare for a possible evacuation at any point in the next 24 hours
• Fuel your vehicles, gather your pets, important items, medications and enough food and water to be away from your home for at least 7 days
• No evacuation is required at this time
• Stay tuned for updates and follow the directions of the local authorities.
