Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation has updated a Wildfire Alert.
Effective immediately, Areas 1, 2 and 3 may re-enter Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. Attached is a map of the phased re-entry for Areas 1 through 4.
Affected areas (2):
- Sturgeon Lake 154A
- Sturgeon Lake 154
Action to take:
- All other community members must remain evacuated at this time
- Area 4 is not open for re-entry and will remain closed until officials have confirmed utilities are back online
- Do not return to Area 4 until re-entry is announced
- Basic services such as gas, water and electricity will not be available prior to the dates outlined in each phase
- The target date for re-entry of Area 4 is May 28
- For your safety, do not enter the community until your re-entry is announced
