Area: This alert is in effect for the Town of High Prairie.

Description: There is a wildfire moving north towards the Town of High Prairie. Big Lakes County has issued a 60 MINUTE EVACUATION ALERT FOR THE TOWN OF HIGH PRAIRIE.

Instruction: Everyone in High Prairie must be prepared to evacuate within one hour or less. If an evacuation order is issued there will be a Reception Centre in Slave Lake, Alberta. Residents must PREPARE to evacuate with 60 minutes notice. Gather pets, important documents and medication, and enough food, water, and supplies for at least 3 days. Further instructions will be given to those directly impacted. Citizens are to monitor www.biglakescounty.ca, the Big Lakes County Facebook page, and the Alberta Emergency Alert website for additional information.
