Description: A Hazardous Materials incident has affected travel on Highway 43 earlier today. Detours remain in place for all traffic directions for approximately two more hours.
Fire Crews are now off scene of the Hazardous Materials incident and vehicle recovery work is underway. Traffic remains detoured in the area of Highway 43 and Highway 33 as this work continues. Travelers need to follow the direction of flagging personnel on scene. The southbound lanes of Highway 43 will remain restricted to one lane of traffic only until at least Sunday, September 19.
Instruction: All vehicle travelling in the are requested to use alternate routes. Please avoid the area. Follow all detour signage and personnel on scene directing traffic. Follow the directions of local authorities, and listen for further updates.
