Alberta Emergency Alert - Traffic Hazard Alert

Area: Lac Ste. Anne County

Description: Emergency responders are on the scene of a Hazardous Materials incident that has affected travel on Highway 43. Detours are in place for all traffic directions. Mitigation is expected to take approximately eight hours to complete.

Emergency responders are working to control a fuel oil product fire near the intersection of Highway 43 and Highway 33 and vehicle traffic is being detoured around the emergency scene. Highway 43 traffic westbound is detoured to Highway 633 west to Highway 765 north to Highway 43. Eastbound traffic is detoured south to the service road at Gunn ESSO to the highway intersection. Highway 33 traffic is detoured to a gravel road one mile north of Highway 43. Highway 37 traffic is detoured south to Highway 633 west to Highway 765 north to Highway 43.

Instruction: All vehicle travelling in the are requested to use alternate routes. Please avoid the area. Follow all detour signage and personnel on scene directing traffic. Follow the directions of local authorities, and listen for further updates.
