Description: There is a boil water advisory in place for the Town of Canmore.
The Boil Water Advisory has been lifted for the community of Silvertip. The Boil Water Advisory was previously lifted in the following areas: Dead Man’s Flats, Harvie Heights, the Canmore Nordic Centre, Three Sisters Resort, Peaks of Grassi, portions of Rundleview, and portions of the Homesteads. The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for the remainder of the municipal distribution system including the areas of: Larches, Town Centre, Spring Creek, Benchlands, Cougar Creek and Avens/Elk Run. ALL residents in these areas remain under a boil water advisory and must boil tap water prior to consumption. For more information and an up to date map of impacted areas please refer to www.canmore.ca/boilwateradvisory The Town of Canmore and EPCOR have mobilized mobile potable water units to provide safe drinking water The units will be available at select areas of Canmore until the advisory is lifted. Please be advised that until the boil water order is lifted you may temporarily experience little to no water pressure as we work to flush and test the system to restore regular water service. Residents may see water flowing from hydrants as we continue to flush and test the distribution system.
Instruction: Boil your water for at least one minute at a full boil before drinking or using the water for any kind of internal consumption.
