Description: Alberta Emergency Alert: Widespread Overland Flooding
Lac Ste. Anne County is experiencing significant widespread overland flooding in many area as a result of a sudden spring melt and warmer temperatures. As well, rapid snow melt continues to seriously impact the rising water levels of both the Little Paddle and Paddle Rivers. Paddle River dykes are over topping at this time.
Residents and the travelling public will encounter high water levels in roadside ditches, and water encroaching or crossing on many area roadways, including highways. Residents along the Little Paddle and Paddle Rivers will continue to see additional overland flooding of low lying areas in the coming days.

Action to take:
- Be extremely cautious of areas known to flood easily such as rivers, streams and other low-lying areas
- Do not attempt to drive through water on roadways as it is unsafe to do so at any time and at any speed as doing so can be extremely dangerous
