Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Wildfire Alert

The wildfire has intensified in the parts of Mackenzie County and those in the follow areas should be prepared to evacuate on short notice. The areas consist of west of Range Rd. 154, north of Highway 697 to south of Township Road 1050, the La Crete Ferry Campground and the area west of Range Rd. 151, north of Township Rd. 1050, south of Township Road 1070 including the Hamlet of La Crete.

: This alert is to allow you time to prepare for potential evacuation. You are not required to evacuate at this time. Contact Mackenzie County Emergency Coordination Centre at 780-927-3718 for more information. Action to take:

  • Residents should make preparations to evacuate including fuelling vehicles, gathering documents, preparing food and water
  • If an evacuation order is issued be sure to bring medication, blankets, sleeping bags, personal items, pets, and identification
