Description: The following areas in Mackenzie County are under an evacuation alert and must be prepared to evacuate on short notice. Everyone in Rocky Lane and High Level north of the Peace River, west of Range Rd. 150 south of Highway 58, the Town of High Level, south and southeast of the town including the Dene Tha’ First Nation’s Bushe River reserve, and Beaver First Nation’s Child Lake Reserve.
All residents in the Rocky Lane and High Level area north of the Peace River, west of Range Road 150, south of Highway 58, the Town of High Level, south and southeast of High Level including the Dene Tha’ First Nation’s Bushe River reserve, and Beaver First Nation’s Child Lake reserve High Level including the Dene Tha’ First Nation’s Bushe River reserve, and Beaver First Nation’s Child Lake reserve must be prepared to evacuate on short notice. Residents should to begin preparations to evacuate such as fueling vehicles, gathering documents, preparing food and water, preparing to bring medication, blankets, sleeping bags, and other personal items. Instruction: Everyone identified in the above locations must be prepared to evacuate on short notice. There is heavy smoke in areas and caution must be used when traveling in the area. Everyone in these areas should ensure vehicles are fueled and personal items are ready, as well as plans regarding family pets are made.
