Description: The Evacuation Order for Marten Beach will be lifted effective 12:00 pm today, June 4, 2019. The order has been replaced with a 12-hour Evacuation Alert which includes the Old Smith Highway, Mitsue, Poplar Lane, Fawcett Lake, Eben Road, and Bayer Road
Citizens returning to Marten Beach are to leave firefighting equipment in place as a precautionary measure as the McMillan Fire Complex continues to be active. The Wildfire Information booth is set up at the Canadian Tire parking lot today from 10:00am to 1:00pm. For more information on the wildfire status go to srd.web.alberta.ca/slave-lake-area-update.
