From: Town of Slave Lake

Issued: Jun 11, 2018 at 09:49 PM

History:

Area: Slave Lake

Description: There is a storm occurring with strong winds, and high rainfall.

Progress is steady and crews are holding the flooded areas, including Lift Station C and Sawridge Lift Station. We are experiencing surface flooding in the North East near 6th Street and 6th Ave. Streets in that area will be blocked off in order to provide clear access for VAC TRUCKS. Only local residents will be allowed in. Please follow directions from the emergency crews. The log jam behind the hospital is cleared but another has formed near Highway 88 bridge. Highway 2 is still opened.

Instruction: Take all necessary precautions. Follow the directions of local authorities, and listen for further updates, or visit www.slavelake.ca
