Description: Update 2: Champion Lakes wildfire in the Mclean Creek Public Land Use Zone, Kananaskis Improvement District, is now BEING HELD. Rain has began in the area as of 0700 hrs May 29 and cooler weather conditions are assisting firefighting operations. No evacuation order is in effect at this time. Smoke in the area may impact air quality, and Mclean Creek road remains closed at this time.
Instruction: Avoid vehicle travel in the area of Mclean Creek Public Land Use Zone, and Highway 549 west of its junction with Highway 762. Travel on Mclean Creek Road remains closed. It is recommended that recreational use within the Mclean Creek Public Land Use Zone be avoided at this time.
