Alberta Emergency Alert: Overland Flow Flood Alert

Area: Saddle Hills County

Description: There is a large amount of water travelling across land. This is leading to local flooding. Call the County office at 780-864-3760 to report any additional roads that are flooded or washed out. For current conditions please visit our website at www.saddlehills.ab.ca or our Facebook page.

The following roads in Saddle Hills County are not recommended for travel due to flooding and road damage: RR 80 north of Hwy 680 to TWP 803; RR 73 South of Hwy 680 to TWP 800; RR 72 to TWP 800; RR 72 to RR 74 on TWP 800; RR 82 from TWP 830 to TWP 832; RR 52 from Hwy 677 to TWP 763; TWP 822 from RR 121 to RR 123.

Instruction: Be aware of areas known to flood easily such as streams and drainage channels. Avoid driving through low lying areas with water flowing on or over the road. Listen for further updates and follow the instructions that apply to your area. Follow the directions of local authorities.
