Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Hazardous Road Condition Alert

The winter storm has left many roads within the County of Forty Mile blocked and impassible.

Travel on these roads may not be possible. The County has 16 road graders working to clear roads but the amount of heavy wet snow we received means this may take a couple of days. Do not travel unless you know your route is passible as many motorists have become stuck already. Emergency services may not be able to respond.

Action to take:

• Do not travel or attempt to travel on blocked or impassible roads
• Stay at home when possible
• If you have an emergency please call 911
• If you must travel, take warm clothing other supplies and tools you may need if you get stuck
• For travel on highways within the County refer to Alberta 511 for road conditions
