Roads have become extremely hazardous due to snow/ice build up and not recommended for travel.

Hwys 12, 36, 855, 599, 872, 861 are closed and not recommended for travel in the County of Paintearth - Castor, Halkirk, and Coronation areas. Plow crews are attending, may open early afternoon or later this morning. County roads RR123 is open from Hwys 599 to 12. County forces are working on opening following roads: Twp Rd 390 between Hwys 36 and 855, Twp Rd 370 between Hwys 12 and 872, Rg Rd 123 north of 599 to Battle River, Twp Rd 382 from Hwy 36 to RR123, RR131 north of 12 to 599 and south of 12 to Twp Rd 360.

Action to take:

• Avoid the area, stay inside if at all possible and wait it out
• Please do not travel the hwys as plows are working to re-open
• If it is necessary to travel, ensure full fuel tanks, carry blankets and supplies in the event you get stuck
• First responders may take lengthy times as they are busy and cannot reach areas where travel is not able.
