Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Traffic Hazards – Waterton Lakes National Park Updated
Sept.11 Update – Highways within Waterton Lakes National Park (Highways 5, 6 and Chief Mountain) are closed due to wildfire activity. Further information is available at www.emergency.alberta.ca or www.pc.gc.ca/fire-alerts . Please use alternate routes.
Action to take:
- Do not attempt to return to the area
- Visit www.511.alberta.ca for current highway conditions and road closure information
- Follow the directions of authorities and listen to local media for further information.
