Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Natural Gas Supply Updated
Natural Gas has been restored to approx. 300 homes south of Highway 670 & Range Road 52 in the County of Grande Prairie. ATCO is now going door to door to relight gas appliances in homes located in Brookside, Meadow Brook, Aspen Ridge, Sunnybrook, Eastland Acres, Triple L Trailer Park, Autumn Wood, Arthur Lane & Sunridge Estates & may take up to several hours.
GPREP has opened a warming center in Evergreen Park for residents impacted by the outage. Pets are welcome. GPREP advises residents accessing the warming center to bring basic necessities in the event they have to stay out of their homes for an extended period. THE WARMING CENTER WILL STAY OPEN UNTIL 12 AM Tuesday, FEBRUARY 7TH. Residents needing a warm place to stay after midnight are advised to call GPREP Emergency Social Services at 780-296-4172. Residents are advised to take caution when heating their homes for safety. Ensure proper ventilation if using wood burning appliances, do not use a BBQ or gas fueled space heater to heat your home, and finally do not shelter in an idling vehicle for long periods of time.

- Residents that do not want to wait in their homes due to the cold are asked to confirm access arrangements by contacting ATCO Emergency Dispatch at 1-800-511-3447
- Residents are urged to contact this number immediately if pipes in their homes are freezing
