Following a summer storm that passed over the Grande Prairie area this evening, emergency crews have received numerous calls for service primarily relating to flooding. First responders are attending all calls and assessing for eminent danger.

Action to take:

• Use caution when approaching flooded areas
• If possible, do not drive through flooded roadways
• Avoid storm ponds, Bear Creek, and low lying areas
• Use caution around manhole covers and storm drains
• Follow the directions of local authorities
