Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Industrial Fire Alert Updated
There is a serious fire affecting a CN trestle bridge within the north west portion of Town of Mayerthorpe on or about 1:30 p.m. ESRD have responded and applied fire suppressant in the area of the collapsed trestle. Fire services have the fire contained within the perimeter. Residents of Kreek's Krossing Trailer Park can now return to their homes.
24 Firefighters, 4 SRD, Forestry, and CN Rail personnel are on site. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Town Emergency Operation Centre that was on standby is no longer on standby.
