Parliamentary Secretary for Economic Corridor Development and MLA for Lac Ste. Anne-Parkland Shane Getson will attend the 2026 Ports-to-Plains Alliance Annual Conference in Del Rio, Texas, and Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. Joining policymakers, transportation officials, industry leaders and economic development organizations from across North America, Parliamentary Secretary Getson will participate in sessions to promote Alberta’s economic interests.

The conference will provide Parliamentary Secretary Getson an opportunity to highlight considerable progress that has been made in Alberta to reduce internal trade barriers, strengthen supply chains and advance economic corridors that better connect Alberta with customers across Canada and around the world.

The conference brings together more than 200 policymakers, industry leaders and businesses from nine U.S. states – Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Nebraska and Wyoming.

This year’s conference theme is, Building the Future Interstate: Bridging from Designation to Delivery, where participants will explore topics including interjurisdictional and binational transportation networks, freight mobility and investment attraction.
