Jennifer Johnson, MLA for Lacombe-Ponoka, will travel to Saint Paul, Minnesota, between Aug. 27 and Sept. 3 to attend the Council of State Governments (CSG) Midwest's annual Midwestern Legislative Conference.

MLA Johnson will meet with U.S. legislators, government officials and industry leaders to strengthen relationships, advocate for Alberta’s interests and advance shared priorities in trade, energy, agriculture and economic growth.

CSG Midwest is a regional, multilateral forum that brings together lawmakers and government leaders from 11 states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario are affiliate members and Saskatchewan is a full member. Alberta has been an affiliate member since 2010.
