“This week, we’re celebrating Alberta’s continued leadership in reducing red tape – a success that sets us apart from every other province in Canada.
January 27 to January 31 marks Red Tape Awareness Week across the country, and for Alberta, it’s a chance to proudly reflect on our achievements.
Over the past five years, we’ve saved Albertans and businesses $2.9 billion, solidifying Alberta as the best place to live, invest, and do business. Alberta was once again ranked as the top-performing province in the Canadian Federation of Independent Business’s (CFIB) 2025 Red Tape Report Card, earning top grades for the fourth consecutive year.
Last year, we hit a major milestone by cutting red tape across government by 33 per cent. This year, we’ve built on that momentum and remain optimistic about staying ahead as Canada’s leader in red tape reduction.
Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing more about what we’re doing to keep up our momentum on cutting red tape. After all, we’re the best – and we’re committed to staying that way.”
