While in New York City, Premier Smith will provide a keynote address and participate in a fireside chat at the ATB Capital Markets 2024 Fall Energy Institutional Investor Conference – an event that brings together senior leaders in Alberta’s energy sector with major U.S.-based investors.
“Alberta’s economy continues to stand out and is expected to outperform the rest of Canada in 2025. Our growing economy is bolstered by a thriving energy sector that has an increasingly important role to play in establishing global energy security, while helping our partners transition away from emissions. Alberta remains a land of opportunity in energy as well as other industries and I am looking forward to continuing to share that message to investors.”
Participation in the conference will be a key opportunity for Premier Smith to meet with investors and champion the fact that Alberta has paved the way on climate policy and emissions management for more than two decades. She will also highlight the province’s position as a global leader in responsible energy production, with rapidly expanding opportunities in areas such as hydrogen, natural gas, renewables, carbon capture and more.
Premier Smith will travel with four staff members. Mission expenses will be posted on the travel and expense disclosure page.
