"For almost a month, the B.C. port strike has been a logistical nightmare for Western Canada's transportation network.
“National port strikes are more than just an employer and union disagreement – families, workers and businesses across the country become collateral damage.
“Canadian families will be deprived of everyday essentials on store shelves as warehouse logistics break down.
“Businesses curtail or limit worker shifts as their products become trapped or they lose market share when shipments are not delivered on time.
“Canada must have critical national transportation infrastructure that operates without political disruptions.
“Alberta is asking elected officials of all parties to agree to immediately return to Ottawa and pass back-to-work legislation.”
