“Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, is a holy day for Muslims in Alberta and around the world.

“The second and largest of the two main holidays in Islam, it is a time to come together to pray, share festive meals, serve those in need and give thanks for all life’s blessings. Eid al-Adha is when Muslims reinforce the principles of sacrifice, devotion to faith, compassion, love and generosity.

“Eid-al-Adha also coincides with the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca.

“I wish happy Eid to all celebrating this holy day.

“Eid Mubarak.”
