“This year, tens of thousands more Albertans have been empowered to find meaningful work and build lasting careers. October’s numbers not only cite an increase of 14,000 full-time jobs, they show us that since this time last year, Albertans gained over 103,000 jobs. These numbers are clear proof that our strong fiscal policies are making a difference, and we will continue to take action to build on Alberta’s strengths, and attract job-creating investment from across the world.
“Job creators are rushing to set up shop in Alberta. From renewable energy to aviation to manufacturing to technology, companies like EDF Group, TC Energy, De Havilland Aircraft, Condor Airlines, CGC Inc., Orbia’s Dura-Line, Infosys and Level 42 AI are choosing Alberta to grow their operations. As we open our doors to more investors, our government is helping employers create exciting futures for Albertans.
“Inflation continues to impact our province, which is why we have taken actions to help Albertans keep more of what they earn. Our fuel tax relief program and utility rebates are some of the ways we’re keeping more money in Albertans’ pockets. The creation of the Ministry of Affordability and Utilities reinforces our ongoing commitment to help Albertans combat the rising cost of living, and will lead and coordinate future government efforts on this front.
“This past year, we have made significant headway. Our government has supported job growth and created an environment that opened the door to opportunities for all Albertans to succeed, invest in their futures and care for their loved ones. We will continue to work tirelessly to build up our communities, strengthen our economy, and support the prosperity of all Albertans.”
