Minister Savage will participate in the ATB Capital Markets Fall Energy Conference in New York Sept. 19-20. The minister will participate on a panel with U.S. state officials and North American industry leaders, and meet with key stakeholders to promote Alberta’s energy reserves amid ongoing challenges with energy security and the energy transition.

“Alberta is the solution to North American energy security. To continue advancing our role as a responsible energy producer, cooperation with our international partners is vital. We must work together to establish a united front on energy security and affordability. This includes increasing Alberta’s exports to the United States and the world. By leading and shaping these important discussions with our global partners and industry leaders, we position ourselves as part of the long-term solution to global energy security.”

Sonya Savage, Minister of Energy

Alberta continues working to strengthen energy relationships with global partners. This includes Premier Jason Kenney’s recent visit to South Korea, where he led discussions on potential large-scale investments in Alberta in several sectors, and Minister Savage’s visit to Norway to participate in the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) Conference.

Minister Savage will be accompanied by her chief of staff.
