“Passover recalls and honours the Israelites’ struggle to free themselves from bondage in Egypt. The fight against tyranny, the exodus to freedom and the relief of starting new lives – these are themes in Jewish history that are always on the minds of families gathering for the Seder.
“All Albertans can find inspiration in the Jewish experience as we leave the disruptions of the pandemic behind and reach out to help Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s aggression. May we draw the same strength from our own struggles and move ahead to better days.
