Neudorf is travelling to Santa Fe from Nov. 30 to Dec. 5 to represent Alberta at the 2021 Council of State Governments (CSG) National Conference, which runs Dec.1-4.

While at the conference, Neudorf will represent Alberta on the CSG International Committee, network and build relationships with legislators and provide Alberta’s perspective on key policy issues, including the importance of trade, investment, energy security and energy infrastructure for continued economic growth on both sides of the border.

As Alberta continues to work closely with the federal government on implementing the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement, events like CSG National are essential to strengthening Alberta’s relationships and securing access to new markets in the U.S.

The CSG helps member states and provinces maintain subnational relationships and provides links to the U.S. government to help advance interests within the region.

“CSG National is a valuable opportunity to strengthen our province’s ties with the member states and advance opportunities for Alberta in the region. Building and fostering these relationships is more important now than ever to ensure Alberta’s economy rebounds and grows. I look forward to working with our U.S. and provincial neighbours to identify new opportunities as we work together to leave behind one of the most challenging times in our history and embrace the future.”

Nathan Neudorf, MLA for Lethbridge-East

Neudorf will be accompanied by one public servant.

Mission expenses will be posted on the travel and expense disclosure page.

The Alberta government is committed to working with national and international partners to advance shared interests that can lead to new opportunities for people and businesses in Alberta and around the world.
