While on the ground, Premier Notley will draw attention to Alberta’s progress on the Climate Leadership Plan and how it will create opportunities to advance clean technologies and renewables for global markets. She will also address the measures government has taken to support the economy through the economic downturn.
“Alberta is now at the forefront in the fight against climate change. The forward-looking steps we are taking through our Climate Leadership Plan will diversify our economy, improve energy efficiency and advance new green technologies. I am looking forward to taking this important message to Washington D.C. to showcase our plan and how it helps secure Alberta’s place as an attractive place to invest and do business.”
While in Washington, Premier Notley will promote Alberta as a responsible energy producer and a dynamic partner in innovation and value-added products. She will also deliver the Enders Memorial Lecture at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
