“Congratulations to Judge McLellan on her well-deserved appointment. Her eight years as a Provincial Court Judge and past service to the community have established her as a strong leader,” said Justice and Solicitor General Minister Jonathan Denis. “Assistant Chief Judge Tousignant also deserves our recognition and thanks for the excellent service he has provided Albertans.”
Judge McLellan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Law in 1977. After being admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1981, she practiced law and became a partner in her firm Roddie & McLellan in Nanton, Alberta. Judge McLellan was appointed as a Provincial Court Judge to the Calgary Family & Youth Court in 2004, and served as the former President for the Judicial District of Macleod Bar Association.
