This year marks the tenth anniversary of Canadian Multiculturalism Day. It was proclaimed by the Government of Canada in November 2002 and is part of Celebrate Canada, an 11-day celebration of events culminating in Canada Day.
On Multiculturalism Day and other Celebrate Canada events, Albertans are encouraged to reflect on their role in helping to promote mutual understanding and respect for Albertans of all backgrounds.
