Description: The Privacy Management Program (PMP) sets clear expectations and accountabilities for the protection of personal information across most Government of Alberta departments, and agencies, boards and commissions, while enabling the identification and mitigation of privacy risks. By embedding privacy considerations into program design, service delivery, information sharing, procurement, and digital and data-driven initiatives, the PMP supports responsible innovation while safeguarding the privacy rights of Albertans. In doing so, the PMP reinforces public trust by demonstrating the Government of Alberta’s role as a responsible and accountable steward of personal information, an essential foundation for effective and legitimate public sector programs and services.
