Service description: Our purpose is to strengthen the capabilities of adults and encourage/support the best possible development of children, and families. PCFRS (Family Centre) is community planned and community based. The Family Centre’s mandate is to provide high quality, comprehensive, accessible and evidence based or informed programs that comply with the standards of excellence and which respond to the changing needs of parent and families. In fulfilling this mandate, the Family Centre will: promote family wellness and positive parent-child relationships, improve parenting knowledge and skills, foster optimal child/youth development and respect parents in their role as their children’s first and most influential teachers.

Service description: Indigenous Outreach provides services to families, focusing on the parent-child relationship, building relationships with and helping Indigenous parents and caregivers develop connections within the community and support the healthy growth and development of children, youth and families. Indigenous parents/caregivers, youth and children are connected to local programs and activities and assistance is provided for accessing professional and other support services

Service description: South Region Parents as Teachers (SRPAT) delivers personalized, custom support to parents, caregivers and families with children prenatal to age six utilizing the evidence-based Parents as Teachers (PAT) early childhood (including prenatal) home visitation model. Services are across the prevention/early intervention continuum including universal, targeted and intensive. The bulk of programming is targeted and intensive delivered through personalized home visits.
