From Oct. 4 to 13, Minister of Arts, Culture and Status of Women Tanya Fir will lead an Alberta delegation to Ireland, Scotland and England to meet with representatives from the film, television, music and arts sectors as well as women’s leadership organizations. These discussions will provide a chance to exchange ideas, learn from successful initiatives and identify shared priorities.

The mission will also promote Alberta as a destination for film, television and music production, build industry connections and examine approaches to supporting women in leadership and elected office. Together, these efforts will raise Alberta’s international profile and attract new projects, investment and business.

“Alberta’s cultural industries create jobs, diversify our economy and drive growth across the province. This mission will strengthen relationships with key international partners, open new opportunities for collaboration and showcase Alberta as a world-class destination for artists, entrepreneurs and innovators.”
