“I am pleased that Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) have secured a new agreement for Alberta’s Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Health Care Aides (HCAs).
“After months of negotiations, we appreciate the collective effort it has taken for AHS and AUPE to reach an agreement.
“The new agreement improves the salaries and benefits for almost 16,000 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Health Care Aides (HCAs) and will help bring long-term stability to our healthcare system.
“We thank these workers for their skill, dedication, and the difference they make every day in Alberta’s health care system.”
