The Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) maintains the largest collection of Alberta-made art in the world, with a mandate to promote and preserve the amazing art created in our province. Through Budget 2024, Alberta’s government is increasing funding to the AFA to more than $39 million by 2026. This increased funding to the AFA is supporting Alberta’s artists, promoting the province’s unique arts and culture scenes and will help continue the province’s economic momentum.

This support is helping to enable the AFA’s newest exhibition at the Royal Alberta Museum: 'Here & Now,' a carefully curated selection of 16 artworks by 12 Alberta artists. The ‘Here & Now’ exhibition displays themes of identity, strength, landscape and ability. The pieces included in the exhibit showcase Alberta’s unique cultural heritage and represent the amazing talent of Alberta artists.

'Here & Now' will open its doors to the public on April 17 at the Royal Alberta Museum. The exhibition will run until Sept. 29, providing an enriching cultural experience for all visitors.
