During the spring session of the 31st legislature, the government will present Budget 2024 while continuing to introduce legislation that fulfils platform commitments and the mandate received from Alberta voters.

“Alberta’s government is back in the legislature to continue our progress through the mandate received from voters. We are committed to moving forward with targeted measures to grow the economy, protect law-abiding Albertans, improve health care and defend the province from federal overreach.”

Joseph Schow, Government House Leader

Alberta’s government will continue to take action to maintain the province’s position as the best place in Canada to live, work and raise a family by cutting unnecessary red tape for businesses and Albertans while building upon protections for consumers in the world’s ever-growing economic landscape.

Additional proposed legislation will assist with implementing measures announced in Budget 2024, strengthening Alberta’s health care system to ensure that all Albertans have access to high-quality health services, and improving accountability and outcomes for the Alberta Recovery Model. Proposed amendments will reinforce the province’s fight to protect communities and respond to the evolving public safety needs throughout Alberta.
